QR code business cards

Every Innovnet card has a printed QR code and an NFC chip. A scan or a tap opens your live profile, with no app needed. Cards are priced in CAD and ship from Hamilton, Ontario.

How a QR business card works

No QR code business card app is needed on either side. The phone camera does the work.

  1. 1. Scan

They point a phone camera at the QR code on your card.

  2. 2. Profile opens

Your live Innovnet profile opens in the phone browser. No app to install.

  3. 3. Save the contact

They save your details, and exchanged contact lets them send theirs back.

QR and NFC on one card

Tap the card on an NFC phone and the profile opens in about 2.8 seconds. If the phone has no NFC, scan the QR code with the camera. Both open the same profile.

Update anytime without reprinting

The QR code points to your profile, not to fixed text. Change your title, phone, or links in the dashboard and the next scan shows the new details. The card in your wallet stays the same.

Use it everywhere

  • On the card

The QR code is printed on every Innovnet card, next to the NFC chip.

  • Apple Wallet

Your Apple Wallet pass shows the same QR code. Apple Wallet is included on the free Basic plan.

  • Email signature

Download your QR code from the dashboard, or add your profile link, so every email points to your live card.

  • Slides and print

Put the downloaded QR code on a closing slide, flyer, or booth sign.

Paper card with a QR code vs Innovnet card

Paper is cheaper per card. The Innovnet card adds a tap and a profile you can edit.

QR business card questions

Do QR business cards work on all phones?

The QR code works on any phone camera that reads QR codes. Most current iPhone and Android phones can also tap the NFC chip. Neither needs an app.

Can I change where the QR code goes?

The code opens your Innovnet profile, and you can change everything on that profile, including links and contact details, at any time. The printed card does not change.

Is a QR code business card free?

Yes. The Basic digital profile is $0 CAD, and you can download its QR code from the dashboard. A printed Innovnet card with a QR code and an NFC chip starts at CA$29.99.

What is the difference between QR and NFC?

A QR code is read by the camera. NFC is read by a tap, in about 2.8 seconds. Every Innovnet card has both and they open the same profile.

Can I put a QR code on my existing paper cards?

Yes. Download your QR code from the Innovnet dashboard and add it to your next paper print run. It opens the same live profile as your NFC card.

Do QR codes expire?

No. The code points to your profile, so editing the profile does not break it. If you stop paying for PRO, your account moves to the free Basic plan automatically and the code keeps working.
