Trade show lead capture app that’s free to start
Innovnet is a trade show lead capture app that combines tap-to-share NFC business cards, phone scanning of event badges and paper cards, and event tags in one free plan. Visitors tap your card and share their details; you scan theirs. On PRO (CA$9.99/month), every lead goes to HubSpot or Salesforce.
How it works
1. Name the event
Create an event campaign before the open house or the conference so new scans land on that list.
2. Capture at the table
Scan a paper card or a printed badge with your phone, or let someone tap your NFC card to open your profile.
3. Follow up from the list
Add a note and a tag. Export a CSV. On PRO, HubSpot contact export and Salesforce lead sync are one way.
What you get
Open houses
One campaign per house keeps buyer scans separate from the rest of your week.
Basic is enough to start
Event campaigns, card scanning, and badge scanning do not require PRO.
Lead form on PRO
Card Mode can open a Lead Capture form, a custom URL, or a landing page. That mode is PRO.
The card still works later
If PRO ends, the account stays on Basic and Card Mode taps fall back to the profile.
At an open house, the agent hands over an NFC card or scans the card a visitor offers. Basic reads printed text with the phone camera and files the contact under the event campaign. The visitor decides what to share. Walking through the door is not consent to be added.
Basic also includes up to three profiles, Save Contact, Exchange Contact, and Share, a custom exchange-contact form, and contacts with notes, tags, priority, and CSV export. You get an email on each exchange, and an automated email can go to the person who exchanged. Insights cover week, month, and year. An Apple Wallet pass and AI lead chat on your contacts are included.
PRO, at $9.99 CAD a month or $99.99 CAD a year, adds Card Mode so a tap can open a Lead Capture form instead of the profile. It also adds Elegant and Profile-top layouts, advanced analytics, AI lead suggestion, and AI lead chat with full visitor history. HubSpot contact export and Salesforce lead sync are one way. The 30-day PRO trial is once per account and does not ask for a payment card. Afterwards nothing is charged.
Hardware ships from Hamilton, Ontario. A PVC card is CA$29.99 once. Shipping is $10 CAD in Canada, delivery is 5–9 business days, and Canadian orders have no customs or duties. Profiles support English and French, which matters for open houses in Quebec and New Brunswick.

Questions
What is the best free lead capture app for trade shows?
Innovnet’s free Basic plan includes badge and business card scanning, tap-to-share NFC cards and event tags. Paid PRO adds Card Mode lead forms and HubSpot contact export or Salesforce lead sync.
How do I capture leads at a trade show without a scanner rental?
Use your phone. Innovnet reads printed badge details and business cards with the camera, and visitors can tap your NFC card to send you their details.
Can trade show leads go straight into Salesforce or HubSpot?
Yes, on PRO. Each saved lead creates or updates a Salesforce Lead or a HubSpot contact, one way, from Innovnet to your CRM.
How do I keep leads from different events separate?
Create an event campaign and tag every scanned or exchanged contact to it. Filter by the event tag when you follow up.
Does the visitor need an app?
No. Visitors only need a phone to tap your card or scan its QR code. You use Innovnet to scan their badge or card.
Can I use it for open houses?
Yes. Visitors tap your card or a plate at the door and share their details, and you tag them to the property.
